Unit 7

Hi everyone. Hope all is well. What were suppose to talk about is what we think of peer advice pretty much. So here's what i think. I think that having some type of feedback other than the professor is alright. I mean, sometimes us as a student may or may not know what the difference is. I don't like to give feedback unless i know for sure I'm right. Now, i can read the papers and say i love your topic and that it's well formed, but I'm not an English teacher i have no idea. So, i will do my best in what i think. I'm posting now because the next week or so I'm extremely busy with the holidays and work. So once again, i hope everyone has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Unit 6

I haven't even started my draft yet. It's been to hectic. I'll sit down and throw something together. Anyways.. it's a very stressful week. Papers due, family coming and of course Christmas!! I need more time. Anyways.. I'm writing my paper on teenage pregnancy, and i really don't know where i want to go with it. I know i want to talk about prevention and education, but i also want to throw in the health risks to the mother and the baby, and of course, some statictics about teenage dropouts. Unit 5

Well.. here we are week 5. This class is flying by!! I guess that's good right?? Anyways.. I like to write.. However, i like to ramble i guess.. I like to write sentences that run. Like I've stated before, I'm not very good at research papers. My problem is the thesis. I can't find a thesis i like. I know the thesis is the main points of your paper, but there are so many i want to talk about. What i want to write about is preventing, consequences, complications and std's. There is so much information on this topic, how can i break it down to what i want? If anyone actually does read my blogs, if you have any ideas please, let me know..lol.. Anyways.. I guess that's all for now. Have a great day!

Plagarism

Plagiarism is copying someone elses work without giving credit. You have to be very careful when you take someone elses work. Proper credit is a must! I read alot. That's how i get my information. If someone took my work and did not give me credit for my ideas, that's not fair. It was my idea.. Why would i want to let someone else take my ideas? I learned alot about plagiarism in my last English comp class, and i really never thought to much about it before. To be honest, i really didn't like my english class. The APA formats and all that drove me insane..lol but hopefully i got it figured out somewhat. One thing i don't understand is when someone uploads a video to youtube.. who's video is that? Because i can take it to my facebook or something like that and does that mean I'm stealing it? I think wiki and youtube have their own copyright rules and what not. I really don't do much of the videos so i really don't know how that goes. Well, i think that's about it for now..

Unit 3 Blog Posts

I know we only have to choose one topic to blog about, but i like these two best:

I have a couple of ideas i would like to write about. Being a caffeine drinker, i would like to write about the effects it has on the body. That way it might make me stop drinking so much. I drink alot of it, but when i'm at work were only allowed to have water on the floor so i drink that. Another thing i was thinking about was alchol and the effects it has on the fetus. There are many people out there that are alcholics and can't stop. Some of them are pregnant. So what effects would this have on an unborn baby? There's alot of good ideas, i just have to pick one topic.

I love being an online student. It gives me time to be at my kids school functions, and it lets me work in my schedule. Not too many employers go by your schedule for work, and mine does. Before i started here, i was looking at my local college. They didn't have the schedule i wanted, but they did however have one course a month. Which would have worked out. But not worth the time because of the drive. The only thing i don't like and some of you have read my posts, is the flexible seminars. I don't like them. I'm fighting with my other class because of a supposively missed seminar. Which i was at. The only good thing about flex. seminars is there are different times. Which also works out. When people ask me where i attend school at i proudly say Kaplan. Then they want to know more. I love this school.

Welcome

I think i'm going to use this blog not only for school but to vent as well. I'm having problems with these flexible seminars.. In Unit 1 i attended one from a different seminar.. well it's now unit 3 and she says i was never there.. so it made me think. I had to call tech two days in a row just to make sure i was there. We also learned how to take a screen shot so i sent it to her just to show her i was there.. In the begining and the end. So maybe that will show her.. anyways.. i hope all is good out there.. and i really don't know if any actually reads my posts, but have a good day.. i gotta do some homework..

Hi Everyone.. Just figured i would write alittle. I am getting really frustrated in my software apps. class, and i do NOT like the flexible seminars.. My professor says i wasn't in one and i was. So i had to call tech support and have them find me in the seminars. It was ridiculous. Hopefully she gives me credit for it. I guess the professor i was at seminar with didn't give my professor the info. It's been one crazy week and I'm not like in it. Anyways.. i figured this is my blog and i can complain if i want too..lol.. anyways have a great week!
